Mission
- Crisis Response
Following Hurricane Maria’s devastating impact on Puerto Rico, Mr. Hurwitz played a key role in coordinating emergency logistics during the critical early response period.
He arranged two private aircraft to deliver 15,000 pounds of essential food supplies to Puerto Rico’s military airport for immediate distribution through Chabad—prior to federal relief operations reaching the island.
This rapid response provided vital sustenance to families in need during one of the most challenging periods in Puerto Rico’s recent history, demonstrating both operational capability and deep commitment to community welfare.
