Meir's Story
Raised in a Lubavitch Hasidic community in Brooklyn, Meir’s early education was deeply rooted in Talmudic study, fostering analytical thinking and disciplined inquiry.
He entered the business world directly at 18, embarking on a self-directed education in credit, risk, and operational structure that would define his career.
A Global Lens
A perspective shaped by spending several years traveling through more than 60 countries.
Travel served as a recalibration—shaped by dive sites, kitesurfing, and winters in Whistler. It included periods of deep cultural immersion, from a Berlin artists’ collective to school donation projects in Nairobi.
At Home in Puerto Rico
“The location gives the work a different cadence— slower where it can be, sharper where it must be, and grounded in a community he participates in as more than a visitor.”
For Hurwitz, Puerto Rico is both home and the center of his professional and civic life. His work on the island spans early-childhood education, community rebuilding, and investments in projects that broaden the island’s cultural and infrastructure landscape.
